Merry Christmas!

This year we were able to spend Christmas with my family down in Utah. We got there in the afternoon on Christmas Eve and I spent the first few hours helping my mom do some baking. Then we all enjoyed some pizza for dinner and that evening instead of reading the story of the Savior's birth we watched a new video that was put out by the church and then headed to bed.

Santa found us & filled our stockings!

Toby doesn't get as excited about opening presents as much as he used to but was still curious.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving with Kyle's family this year. Kyle was the first one preparing food by starting with the turkey!

We also spent part of the morning looking through all the ad's! Kyle's mom loves to get good deals in the morning so we scanned out some good deals.

Meanwhile Kyle and Taylor went and played some football.

Kyle's Dad makes the BEST rolls and I have been wanting to learn so here he is teaching me how - lots of important details.

We ended up having quite the turnout, Kyle's mom and 3 of her sisters along with one of her brothers were able to join us for our feast. Here is Kyle's Mom, Grandma and 3 of his aunts.

This was the "kid" table. Below is Kyle's Uncle (wishing he could join the kid table) along with some of his cousins and Kelsey and Taylor.

Meanwhile the other boys were relaxing on the couch since the woman were taking over the kitchen :) The thanksgiving feast turned our very yummy and we all had a nice time visiting with each other.

Kelsey and Taylor were able to spend Tuesday through Sunday with us and we sure had fun having them around for a few days. We played many games of Settlers of Catan.

Kyle's mom played in on some of the fun too and made a tower out her pieces - very skilled!

Of course the day after thanksgiving we had to decorate for Christmas! Here is a goofy picture of us having fun decorating.

We sure had a really nice thanksgiving and we have been very blessed over this last year in many different ways are sure grateful for the many many blessings that we enjoy from our Father in Heaven.

Kyle's Chopped

One of Kyle and my favorite shows to watch is Chopped and so sometimes after watching an episode Kyle gets excited and wants to try something so one night he made us brownies with blackberry flavored cream. They were delicious and the plates look very appetizing!

Fall Drives

We had such beautiful fall weather this year that it created some gorgeous fall colors and so one Sunday late afternoon Kyle's mom and I went for a little drive so we could enjoy the fall colors while our husbands watched football.

4-Wheeler Ride

On my day off last week Kyle and I went for a 2 hour 4-wheeler ride up in the mountains and it was so gorgeous!

We went up pretty high and had a great view of the valley.

The fall colors up there were so bright and beautiful!

Best Pie Award

Kyle's mom has this really good apple pie recipe and we made it for a stake activity and at this activity the pies were judged and we got the best crust award and the best pie award! So we had to make it again so we could get a picture of the pies with our ribbons.

Kyle's Project

Kyle thought it would be a good idea to paint one of our end tables that we have in our bedroom and suggested it to his mom and so she agreed to help him do it.

I also joined in on the fun and Kyle liked pretending that he was the boss of the project.

Kunde Family Pictures

A couple weekends ago Kyle's sister's both came home to visit so we went to take some family pictures. Kyle's sisters love being in lots of pictures and Kyle's mom likes finding cool places to take them so we got quite a few!

One of the great things about being married (there are lots) is being a part of another family and having us all connect together making one big eternal family. I'm sure grateful for the family I married into as well as my side and those that have been brought in through marriage!

Celebrating 3 Years!

Kyle and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary this August, however we didn't actually celebrate it till late September. We wanted to go to McCall, Idaho where we got a package deal to get a hotel and a round of golf for the both of us. We wanted to late till the fall so we could enjoy the fall colors in the mountains. It was about a 2 hour drive so we had to stop to eat on the way there and that is the first picture below, at this little cafe in the middle of nowhere.

Kyle and I have this tradition to try a new pizza place every year for our anniversary, this year it was at Toll Station

We weren't super impressed, it was just okay pizza...

It didn't seem like there was very many people at the hotel we went to which was nice because we had the whole pool to ourselves.

We were a little surprised in the morning to find ice on our car!

Luckily it didn't take long to warm up and were still able to go golfing!

This was the first time I have played 18 holes, usually I only play 9, so I was grateful we had a cart because golfing really does take a lot of energy!

We survived our 18 holes of golf, Kyle said this was the hardest course he has played so far and I would agree. We sure had a lot of fun though and we are so grateful to have each other and look forward to many, many more years together!

A few weeks ago Rafa and Rosanne had their first baby! Kyle and I went down a couple weeks ago to met her and she is so sweet and precious!!

While we were down there we got to enjoy some time with my parents and Laura which was really nice too. My dad let Kyle take his bike for a short ride around the block, Kyle used to have a bike when we was younger so he really enjoyed riding one again!

Cabin Sneak Away

Kyle and I were able to sneak away to the cabin for a few days this summer, we were worried we won't make it up there this year but we did and the weather was perfect!

Kyle tried fishing in a different spot this time with a friend, they didn't have much luck but it sure was beautiful!

Rachel's boyfriend came out to Boise to see Rachel and meet the family and so all of us kids spent a spent a Saturday together. We went to the farmer's market in the morning and then in the afternoon went to this place called Jump Creek. The water wasn't really deep enough to jump off anything but it sure was beautiful. The water was also freezing but it still was a lot of fun.

Quick Visit

Joslyn, one of my best friends from college went on a family reunion to Yellowstone and we were able to coordinate a quick stop on their way back since they were driving through Boise. It was a very quick visit but it sure was wonderful to be able to see my friend!

Kelsey & Taylor's Wedding!!

I don't have very many pictures from the wedding but here are a few. The top one was done by their photographer who did an awesome job and got some really great pictures! The wedding ceremony was very sweet and beautiful and the Bride and Groom looked better than ever!

This isn't your typical picture to post but it sure was a great timing to catch Kyle's goofiness!

Rosanne's Bridal Shower

At the end of July Laura threw a Baby Shower for Rosanne. I was able to go down there for the shower and spend a little time with my family. We ended up having a great turn out for the shower and had lots of fun. We played a few games, one of my favorites is the candy bar dipper game, where you melt different candy bars and put them in dippers and you have to try to guess what candy bar it is.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed some yummy refreshments!

I also got to spend some additional time with my family down there and one night Laura and I went to a Rodeo with some of her friends.

The rodeo was a lot fun except it rained on us most of the time!

Dispite the rain, we saw some pretty cool acts!

One day us four girls went out to Village Inn for lunch.

It was sure fun being able to spend time with everyone!

Here is me with my handsome birthday boy! Kyle turned 26 this year - his birthday was on a Tuesday this year so we celebrated it on the Saturday before so he could enjoy a whole day where he didn't have to work!

There are many things that I love about Kyle but one of my favorites is his laugh and ability to make others laugh. As he was reading my card aloud he was adding his own words and made us all laugh pretty hard.

1st Ward Family Reunion

The Ward family had our 1st official reunion this year! We had it over the 4th of July weekend up at Bear Lake. The weather was perfect all weekend long! We all stayed in this big nice cabin together and just had a lot of fun!Our Cabin even had its very own hot tub! Kyle and I got it in every night as well as Kevin and Becky. Laura joined us the first night. It was very relaxing and the view was gorgeous!

We kicked Saturday morning off with some jet ski rides! Most everyone including the kids enjoyed the rides.

The place we were using the jet skies had a tiny beach so the kids enjoyed playing there in between rides.

After going home and getting lunch we headed to the beach to have some more fun in the sun! Here is Aaron carrying Simon - the sand was pretty hot on our feet!

It was a great beach for the kids because it had a very long shallow part to the beach.

Saturday was Rafa's birthday so my mom made a cake for him and we all sang to him.

Drive-in Movie

This past weekend Kyle and I went to our first drive-in movie together. We saw the new X-Men and Thor - well I only watched X-Men I'm not much of a late owl so I feel asleep for the second movie but it still sure was a lot of fun!

Father's Day Weekend

This year we spent Father's day with Kyle's dad. We all pitched in and got him a Wii. Kyle and I taught them how to play the games and we all had a lot of fun!

Wildlife in Twin Falls

Kyle and I have scene a lot of wildlife here in Twin Falls. Around our apartment there is a canal and there are always lots of ducks including this little family of ducks. It was fun to watch them grow. Then by our front door there was this nest of baby birds. Kyle didn't like them as much because they were noise and messy! He tried to get a picture of them but he wasn't quite tall enough. Also on the golf course we saw deer a few times and we also saw some owls including baby owls! Unfortunately we didn't have our camera but we saw two big owls and then two baby owls - they sure were real fluffy and cute!

Visit to Idaho Falls

Kyle and I were able to get away for part of the the Memorial Day Weekend so we made a quick visit to Idaho Falls. It sure was a lot of fun being able hang out with Kevin and Becky to be able to play with the kids.

On Sunday the boys helped Kevin make breakfast - and they did a great job!

Kelsey's Bridal Shower

Last Saturday Kyle's Mom and I threw a Bridal Shower for Kesley. We had a good turn out and had a lot of fun!

We played a few different games. One of them was us asking Kelsey questions about Taylor and which ever ones she got wrong she had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth. She did pretty good and only missed 6 out of 22!

Everyone seemed to enjoy the games and having a chance to visit and learn more about Kelsey and Taylor's story.

Easter at the Kunde's

We spent Easter at Kyle's parents house this year and had a lot of fun. We had church in the morning so we looked for Easter baskets afterwards. Taylor, Kelsey, Kyle & I decided it would be fun to hide baskets for their mom and dad and they were good sports and looked for theirs!

Me looking for mine....Kyle's dad keep teasing me and telling me that I had looked in a place where I was only inches from my candy and that really through me for a loop.

I thought I wouldn't have too much trouble finding my basket because my mom always did a really good job at hiding the candy but Kyle's mom is also very skilled at it! Taylor and I had a few moments of discouragement and as you can see in the picture below Kyle's mom enjoyed every minute of it! But after a while we finally found them!

Here is everyone with their baskets! There is also a picture of the breakfast that the Kunde's always have for Easter which is called Goldenrod Eggs. It's a gravy like mixture with boiled eggs that you spread over toast. So good!

Kyle is always good at keeping everyone entertained and one thing he decided to do was measure his head...

So then everyone else wanted to do it... Kinda silly but fun!

Last Friday, April 15, 2011 Kyle graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with his degree in Accounting!

Afterwards we went out for ice cream cones (which we all got for free because the place we went to was doing a special thing that weekend) and we gave Kyle his graduation present from me, my parents and Kyle's parents.

It is the new Tiger Woods Golf game for PS3 - he was very happy!

On Saturday we helped Rachel move some of her stuff into her new apartment at BYU-I! She is starting her first semester there this week!

Saturday evening Kevin and Becky were kind enough to host a graduation party for Kyle. We had GREAT food and enjoyed a relaxing evening. The boys watched the Masters Golf tournament...

I was so glad that even after a few months of being away maddy still liked to sit with me!

That weekend Kyle's cousin, Josh came home from his mission so Sunday we were able to go to his homecoming talk and were able to visit with some of Kyle's extended family. It was a busy weekend trying to spend so much time with both of our family's but it sure was a lot of fun and it was a great accomplishment for Kyle to get his Bachelor's! We now look forward to trying to figure out where and what our next adventure will be.

Kyle did a great job at making my birthday special! He made us breakfast before we both had to go to work and then I came home to the apartment all decorated! I was very impressed with all the streamers he used!

Kyle got off work a little early and we headed to Chili's for dinner! It was delicious and you get a free desert if its your birthday! Chili's was close to the canyon so we walked over there to admire the deep and beautiful canyon.

We watched a movie together and then I opened my presents and cards that awaited me...

I wanted to put another picture of my present from Kyle's mom because it is just so cute!

My mom sent me a few goodies and some money to get me something nice for myself.

Surprise for Laura!

Last Thursday was Laura's birthday so I decided to surprise her with a visit! I spent a couple days down there with her and my family.

Laura blowing out her candles! Rosanne was able to get off early on Laura's birthday so she came over to hang out with us. We spent most of the day making a craft.

Weekend in Boise

Now that we are in Twin Falls, we are only two hours away from Kyle's family in Boise so it's easier to head over there for the weekend. We spent last weekend there and made our delicious pizza for them. This time we tried a different kind of cheese for those who may like more vegetables and less cheese and that was a big hit!

Rachel, Kyle's mom and I spent some time getting things for Kelsey's wedding, this is us taking a break and getting some lunch.

Kyle's mom is really good at finding old pieces of furniture and making them look new and I am always telling her that I want her to teach me how to do it so for my birthday this year she got me this old glass window and taught me how to fix it up!

It was fun learning the techniques and her tricks.

Here is the finished product! It turned out super cute and I can't wait to put it on my wall!

March Madness

With Kyle being a sports fan I of course had to fill out a bracket for basketball. Kyle set up a group on ESPN and there was one day where I was tied for first! Kyle was so proud of me he took a screen shot on the computer so we could always remember how well I did. I wasn't in first for too long but it was still fun to be there for a little while!

Shoshone Falls

Sunday was a very beautiful spring day so Kyle and I went to see the Shoshone falls which is only about 1o minutes away from our house!

I love how we didn't have to travel very far to see these gorgeous falls!

Weekend in Utah

The weather finally was good enough that Kyle and I were able to go to Utah to visit my family this last weekend! We met up with my parents and Laura in Salt Lake City to have dinner with them at Kyle's favorite Mexican restaurant, The Red Iguana.

On Saturday Laura and I went with my mom and dad to the Temple. My dad has been doing some genealogy work so Laura did some work for our 3rd great grandma and I got to do work for my 4th great grandma, it was pretty neat to do something so special for such close relatives.

Rosanne and Rafa hung out with us Friday night and Saturday afternoon and evening. It was fun relaxing and visiting together.

I love visiting my family and that includes Toby! He certainly is getting up there in years but he is still great to cuddle with and is as cute as ever!

Kyle & Staci's Delicious Pizza

Ever since Kyle and I got married we have been perfecting a pizza recipe and I'd had to say that we make a pretty good pizza! However, Kyle is still trying to find ways to make it even better so he is always talking to people and researching trying to find any way to make it better.

Kyle is getting pretty good at tossing the dough to make a perfect round pizza!
We each have kind of adopted our part in the pizza making process. Kyle is in charge of the dough and I am in charge of the sauce and putting on the toppings.

Kyle has recently been trying to get a nice crust on our pizza and was proud of how fluffy this crust turned out.

We have found the best way to cook the pizza is on a pizza stone.

Valentines Day

I was able to find a temporary job at a flower shop to help with Valentines Day and so once Valentines day came around I had been working for 7 days from morning till sometimes pretty late in the evening so by the time I got home Monday night I just wanted to sit on my own couch! So we went out and grabbed some A & W, my favorite fast food place and enjoyed our meal in the comfort of our own home!

Kyle always does such a great job at creatively wrapping my valentines day presents!

Since we don't have much money we have kind of started a tradition of trying to give each other the most creative gifts for as little as possible. The theme for Kyle's gift to me was that our love is salty, sweet, juicy and cheesy and so we he got me food that correlated to those words and wrote me a very sweet letter. My theme for his was from a county song called "Stuck like Glue" and its about these two people who are in love are stuck on each other so I got him candy that was sticky along with some gum.

Sometimes with all the activities of everyday life we forget to show appreciation to those that we love the most so I am grateful for Valentines day and that it helps us to remember to express that love to those that mean the most to us.

Grandma's Birthday!

We went to Boise for the Superbowl, Kyle and his dad hadn't watched it together for 7 years so they really enjoyed being able to watch it together again. It was also Kyle's grandma's birthday while we were there so Kyle's parents took her (and us) out to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. The waiter was nice enough to bring her the birthday hat and sang a Mexican birthday song for her!

Rachel's Graduation Celebration!

Kyle's little sister Rachel has been working real hard so that she could graduate a semester early from High School so she could get a jump start on college and she has done it! Last Friday was her last day so we went to Boise this past weekend to go to a celebration dinner with the family.

Of course her dad had to embarrass her by having the pig come over to congratulate her! Kelsey was nice enough though to jump in the picture with her!

Visit to Kevin & Becky's

Kyle and I got so used to seeing Kevin & Becky and their kids every weekend that we just had to make a quick trip to Idaho falls to see them! We had a really nice visit with them and had a lot of fun playing with the kids again!

I was worried since it had been a few weeks that Maddy wouldn't remember me but when we got there she ran right over and gave me a hug! I was so glad!

Quick Visit

Recently I was able to take a real quick trip to visit my parents and my sisters down in Utah. Kyle's sister wanted to go down and visit her boyfriend and so I went with her. It was really nice to have time for the two of us to have lots of time to visit. We only had one night to do it so we left early one morning and then left the next day in the early afternoon so it was real quick but sure worth it!

Laura and me - unfortunately I didn't get to spend as much time with Laura because she had class Tuesday night but I still got to spend time with her so that was nice!

Of course I thoroughly enjoyed being able to spend some time with Toby! Toby still remembers that I always share the last drops of my ice cream with him...he is patiently waiting!

It was sure nice being able to visit with my parents and my sisters and as much as I missed Kyle on the trip it was fun for the 4 of us girls to just hang out together. We visited lots and watched a couple episodes of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman like the good ol' days!

Our New Home in Twin Falls Idaho

We are officially moved into our new apartment in Twin Falls, Idaho. Kyle has been working all week at his new job/internship and I have been putting our new apartment together. We love our new place. It is about twice the size of our first apartment we lived in and cost less!

Straight ahead is our huge bedroom! Below is my new down comforter bed set that I got for Christmas with the help of various people! Which I absolutely love! I even hate getting out of bed in the morning because I am so comfy!

We have lots of closet space which is really nice.

We had to put up some really dark curtains because it was too bright at night to sleep.

Well that completes the tour of our new place! We will be here at least through the summer so feel free to come and visit! :-)

While we were visiting for Christmas Kyle's parents took off a few extra days and so we took a day and went to a hot springs. It was a beautiful drive up there! It was so neat being in the warm pool with the snow all around in the mountains.

Kyle's mom went and sat in the snow and then dared all of us to do it...after some teasing and persuasion we all ended up doing it. It sure felt good to get back in the water!

Kyle & I sure had a nice Christmas this year with Kyle's family. Before we opened the presents Kyle's dad read the Christmas story and we reflected on the birth of our Savior, the most important gift that was given many years ago.

We then opened our presents and we all enjoyed watching everyone open their presents and just being together.

Later that day we had a real nice dinner with Kyle's grandma and some of his aunts and uncles from his mom's side of the family.

Dedication of a new buidling at BYU-I

Brigham Young University Idaho continues to grow every year and they just recently finished a new auditorium that holds 15,000 people! They dedicated that building along with expanded student center on Friday and there were 3 Apostles that attended the dedication so Kyle and I got tickets to attend. It was a really nice dedication service and was truly a blessing to be in the presence of 3 servants of the Lord and to feel their spirit and testimonies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They have big hopes for this school as it continues to grow. Kyle and I sure have been blessed to be able to attend this wonderful university.

The new building looks a lot like the LDS Conference Center that is in Salt Lake City, Utah except it isn't at big and doesn't have the beautiful organ.

Our Last Visit for a While

Our last Sunday we were in Idaho Falls Kevin & Becky of course had to have us over for Sunday dinner. We enjoyed our meal with them and had some fun. The boys got out the nerf guns had had a nerf gun war with each other.

We have sure been so so blessed being able to visit Kevin & Becky so often and being able to be a part of their kids lives. We are really going to miss seeing them so often and being so involved in their lives. Luckily we only live a little over 2 hours away and will still get over there to visit them! Rosanne & Rafa's Visit

Thanksgiving!

To start off Thanksgiving- Kevin, Becky, Samuel, my dad and I decided to run in a race for the hungry. Samuel did a 10k and the rest of us did a 5k. It was very very cold but it sure was fun and felt good to contribute to a good cause.

My dad and I stuck by each other for most of the of race and finished together. I was very proud of my dad for participating in the race and for running a lot of the way!

After the race it was home to get ready for our feast. Kevin & Becky did a great j0b hosting thanksgiving! Becky made all of us place settings with little turkeys.

I helped Becky out with the center pieces that I made at work.

We did a puzzle over the weekend...Laura is our puzzle wizard and helped us to finish the 1000 piece puzzle in 3 days!

On Friday Kyle & I made pizza for everyone and my nephews wanted a small piece of dough so they could flatten it and make their own pizza.

Some other things we did over the weekend was we went and saw the new Harry Potter movie, watched some football, played guitar hero, ping pong, foosball, and just relaxed. It was really nice to be able to spend time with those that were able to come up. Thanks again Kevin and Becky for hosting such a great Thanksgiving!

A few weeks ago Kyle and I took another couple with us to the cabin. It had just recently snowed so it was SO beautiful!! It snowed another 6-8 inches while we were up there and it was so fun hanging out in the cabin with the fire going and drinking hot chocolate while it snowed.

We had to make a trip to Boise last weekend, Kyles parents got a new TV and were getting a new setup so they needed Kyle there to help them get everything figured out. We had a really nice visit though and enjoyed watching some scary shows on their new TV for Halloween. We decided to try a Mexican restaurant that we had not been to before and it was really good! We all really enjoyed our meal.

Kyle and Greg always enjoy being able to get some golfing in so while they went golfing Leslie and I decided to make a craft together and they both turned out so cute!

On Monday Kyle & I went over to Kevin & Becky's and we made them pizza and then carved pumpkins! The kids were so excited, especially wes, he had a great time!

Becky had a bunch of different kits and I helped wes follow the lines and poke his holes. He really didn't need all that much help, he did a pretty good job on his own. Becky certainly did the most, she cut out hers and the boys!

Kyle wanted us to carve BSU stuff in the pumpkin so he gave me the hard part and I had to carve the Bronco! It actually turned out a lot better then I thought it would!

Vacation with the Kevin Ward Family

Living only about 2 miles from Kevin & Becky has sure been a lot of fun this summer and we sure enjoy being able to hang out with them a lot. They must enjoy it as well since they let us join them on their vacation this summer or maybe that is was because we invited them to join us at our grandma's Cabin ;-) Anyway we all had a really enjoyable and relaxing time and the weather was perfect!

The boys all got in some fishing and Kyle helped Owen and Wes reel in a fish. (the fishing wasn't that great this time of year so it was actually the same fish! )

We took a drive to Big Springs and the boys enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks that were there that for the most part got to the food.

Madalyn really wanted to get out of her seat but I think she still enjoyed seeing the ducks.

We enjoyed lots of time on the porch enjoying the great weather and peacefulness of being in the mountains.

Moments like these are what I enjoy the most about being an Aunt.

Boise State Game!

Monday night was the first Boise State game for this football season and so we had 3 other couples over to start Kyle's fantasy football team and to watch the game. Kyle decorated the room with our Boise State sweatshirts and blankets.

Kyle also got us shirts. It was a great game...a little too close for comfort but Boise State won and we are super excited for the rest of the season!

On sunday we drove down to Logan so we could be at Katie's baby blessing. It was nice to be there for the blessings and it was fun to see Sam and his family, my parents and my sisters and Rafa.

Afterwords Rosanne & Rafa and Laura came up to Idaho falls so they could go to the fair on monday so we got to spend some time with them Sunday night at Kevins and had an enjoyable evening with them.

Another Cabin Trip

A couple weeks ago Kyle and I went to the cabin with some friends of ours, Luke and Mary and their new little boy, Max. Luke had a .22 and so I shot a gun for the first time! It was pretty fun. We set up a few targets, (water bottles, golf balls tennis balls) and I hit a them once or twice. Kyle thinks I looked pretty good holding this gun.

A couple weeks ago Kyle and I went camping. We were going to try a new spot that was really high up in the mountains but the campground was full by the time we got there so we headed down to Birch Creek. By the time we got there however it was dark and there was like one campground left so had to set up our tent with our car lights but we certainly still had fun.

The drive up the campground we were hoping to go to was pretty cool. It was a beautiful drive and we drove through a ghost town, there was lots of old homes and cabins.
Kyle fixed us a delicious breakfast the next morning. As you can tell it was definitely cold that morning!

It was pretty windy but Kyle tried to fish anyway.

However, he only fished for like 15 because it was just too windy.

Trip to SLC

We went from Boise to SLC to visit some of my family. We got to spend some time at my parents new place and enjoyed spending time with them as well as with Laura, Rosanne & Rafa. Then on Sunday there was an Andrus Family Reunion and I got to see my cousin Emily who I had not seen for about 10 years! It was fun being able to visit and catch up with her and her family.

Trip to Boise

A few weeks ago we went to Boise to visit Kyle's family and to try to find an internship for Kyle. Kyle went to some different firms and called a bunch trying to get something worked out. We have a couple leads but not sure yet what will happen. Kyle's parents and sisters all worked a bunch while we were there but we spent what time we could with them and relaxed most of the rest of the time. We did try to help out a little bit around the house and kyle didn't want to get grass stains on the shoes he brought so in the picture below you can see the stylist shoes he used to mow the grass.

Kyle and I went to the zoo one day and saw a bunch of animals. It was fun.

Outside of one of the grocery stores was a pay phone, it had been forever since Kyle had seen one so he thought it would be fun to take a picture with it.

We never got any pictures with Kyle's family but we did spend time with them and enjoyed our visit with them!

Our 2nd Anniversary!

Yesterday Kyle and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary! We started out the morning with a nice breakfast and just relaxed most of the morning.

I decorated the bedroom door with stars...the starts represent how there are millions of people in the world just like there are millions of stars and so it symbolized how grateful I was that out of everyone in the world I found kyle!
We have decided that every year for our anniversary we are going to try a new pizza restaurant. This year we were in Boise and we went to the Flying Pie Pizzeria.

The pizza was pretty good but what made it more fun was it was a fun atmosphere.

One of Kyle's gifts to me was chocolate! Gotta love that!

So when you don't have much money you have to get creative with presents and so for Kyle I got him a transformer Puzzle. One reason I got him a kid puzzle because he doesn't like to do the big puzzles. I also played on the words and wrote him a note about how he is transforming me into a better person.

Then on the back of each puzzle piece I wrote a word that deals with marriage and how we have to fit lots of different pieces in our marriage to make it work and fulfill our purpose.

I am always so impressed with Kyle's creativity. He first wrote me some really sweet things which included some pictures as well as the lyrics to one of my new favorite songs....You make me smile. Then he got me this binder to hold all the notes and things that we make or write to each other. I absolutely loved his gift!

We sure love being married and love how each day we learn more about each other and grow closer together through the experiences that we share together!

Blue Angels Show

On Saturday Kyle and I met up with Kevin and his family and Rosanne and Rafa at Becky's friends house who lives very close to the airport where the Blue Angels Show was taking place. We got great seats and got to enjoy the show for free! It was a lot of fun watching the show and spending time with everyone. Afterwards we went and got ice cream and then Kyle barbecued for everyone and then we relaxed by the fire for the rest of the evening.

The boys had a lot of fun watching the planes but also found other things to entertain them...like using lots of straws for their drinks or just to play with.

Kyle's 25th Birthday!

Last monday we celebrated Kyle's 25th Birthday! He got home from class around 2 and we ate some pizza and then went and saw the new movie Inception. When we got home Kyle opened his presents.

Kyle likes to try and guess what the present is before he opens it.

Grandma got Kyle a new apron and mitt and some nice tools for his grill.

One of Kyle's favorite football teams is Boise State so I thought he would enjoy some items with their logo.

Because Kyle likes golf so much; I thought I would get him something that he could practice his golf swing with but wouldn't have to pay for it every time!

This is Kyle's reaction when I gave him a hard time about how there was barely enough room for all his candles on his cake!

Kyle's good friend Justin and their family came over for cake and then Kyle and Justin played some basketball on the PS3.

I am sure grateful for Kyle and for the amazing person that he is and for all the joy that he has brought into my life!

Kyle and I went up to the cabin last weekend. The cabin is one of our favorite places to go and we never seem to get enough of it! We went for a couple drives this time and one drive we saw these deer and on our other drive we saw a bear!!!! Kyle noticed it first and pointed it out to me and I saw it for about 3 seconds as it ran up the hill into the woods but I did see it. It was the first time I have seen a bear in the wild so it made my day. Also Sunday morning I woke up early and went and sat out on the swing and a deer walked right through the yard so that was pretty fun seeing it so close.

We spent the 4th of July in Boise with Kyle's family. We ate a lot of GREAT food. Kyle and his dad played a round a golf and that was fun for them. We played games, watched movies, visited and relaxed. Sunday we set off a few fireworks in the daylight because we had to leave Sunday late afternoon but it was still fun.

Kyle and I decided to take advantage of having today off and tried to fill the day with lots of activities! We slept in and then went to breakfast at Denny's.

Afterwards we went and helped his buddy move a few things into their new place.

Then we went golfing with another couple. Kyle is determined to make me a professinal golfer! I kind of have a hard time hitting the ball because I move my head too much when I swing to kyle is brave enough to hold my head down so I can hit the ball!

After golfing kyle made some delicious burgers and we watched the movie The Bucket List, which we highly recommend to anyone who has not seen it. Then we were gonna go fishing but the weather turned on us. Fortunately Kevin invited us over for ice cream so we had a perfect ending to our day together!

Last weekend Kyle and I had a barbecue for some of our friends that were in our old ward and one of them needed some help moving so we helped them load and then unload and where were unloaded was at our friends grandma's house who happens to live by a golf course and had a box full of golf balls, needless to say that Kyle was more than happy to take them off their hands! Kyle got about 300 golf balls that night!

Last Sunday Kyle and I drove to Star Valley, WY because one of my old roommates got back from her mission and we went there to listen to her homecoming talk. It is a pretty small town and we saw some deer as we drove through town. Unofrtuantely though I forgot to get a pic with my friend! But it sure was a pretty drive and we enjoyed being there for her.

My Birthday Week

This year I felt like my birthday lasted a few days. It started with Kyle's family coming into town over the weekend, they got there sunday and we made them dinner, then monday Kyle's grandma was kind enough to take us out to dinner to celebrate my birthday, then on tuesday night kyle and I went to a Disney themed band concert which was fun, and then on my actually birthday Kyle made me breakfast and then for dinner that night we went over to Brother and Sister Riggins house. I had Brother Riggins my first semester here at college and him and his family have become very dear friends to Kyle and I and so we had a lot of fun celebrating my birthday with them.

I am always so impressed with Kyle's gifts, he really puts a lot of thought into them and likes to make sure it is something special for me. This year he made me a puzzle!

He drew pictures of things that I love and reasons why he loves me. So cute!

Kyle got me a bunch of gardening supplies for my birthday, which I plan on using this summer. He also asked his sister Rachel to make me an apron and she did an awesome job! Yes it does say Stack, that is one of kyle's nicknames for me. Also his mom and sister spoiled me with gifts, his mom got me a cute new outfit and his sister Kelsey got me some really great smelling lotion and shower gel. Kyle's grandma also gave me some money so I can go buy something nice for myself and I was so grateful for all the cards and birthday wishes that my family and friends sent me!

Kyle and I had a great valentines day! It started last night because Kyle got a chick flick for us to watch and then today we have enjoyed being able to spend the day together. For lunch we had breakfast - Kyle's favorite, our delicious hash browns with eggs and then for dinner delicious marinated steaks! And for desert a cookie monster! ( chocolate chip cookie, with ice cream, cool whip and chocolate syrup!)

Since we don't really have much extra money to spend we decided to see what kind of present we could get for a $1 and it was actually a lot of fun tyring to find something. I always love to get cards from Kyle because he is very creative and makes great cards!

I got Kyle a small nerf gun...which he seemed excited about.

For New Years we went to Boise,ID to spend with Kyle's family. When we got there Kyle's parents spoiled us with a few Christmas presents which we were very grateful for!

After 12 we went outside to light off some fireworks even though it was freezing!

Kyle and I wanted to make some pizza but in order to do that I had to get down in their storage to get some dry milk and Leslie didn't want me to get insulation all over me so I had to get dressed up!

Kyle took advantage of being off track for school and grew a beard but for his last couple days he wanted a go-tee so his parents helped him out.

Christmas at the Wards

For Christmas this year we spent it at my brother's house in Idaho Falls. My parents and my sisters were able to come up so it was a full house!I got there Wednesday to help Becky out and I made some sugar cookies and then Owen, Wesley, Becky and I frosted them. I sure love living so close and being able to spend time with my brother and his family; their kids are so cute!

I think Wesley ate more frosting off his finger than he got on his cookie!

Here is Kyle opening an rubiks cube, he loves those things and he can get all the sides the same color! It makes me very proud!!

Kyle got me a couple cute house decorations and a new Ipod home.

After kyle opened the two presents I had for him he was happy with them and played with his rubiks cube and after most of the presents were gone I surprised him with another present and as he opened it he gives me this look like I stole it from somewhere! I surprised him with a Play station 3 that was paid for from combined Christmas money that I knew we would get.

He was pretty excited!!!

I asked Laura not too long ago to make me a blanket expecting to get it in a few months but she
surprised me with it for Christmas! I was so excited and use it almost everyday! Thanks Laura!

The boys got a few nerf ball guns and us adults had a lot of fun shooting each other with them!

The day after Christmas we got tickets to go see Avatar in 3D and to make sure we got good seats, Kyle, Rosanne and I went an hour early to save seats for everyone and so we got the tickets and then went to the theater that the ticket lady told us and the theater was empty and we were excited because we could pick any seat! After a while it started filling up but not very much and were kind of confused but thought maybe it wasn't as big of a hit as we thought...then the previews come on about 20 minutes before the movie was supposed to start and we realize we were in the wrong theater! So luckily we were able to get decent seats because the other theater was pretty full! It was pretty funny but to be safe - always check to make sure you are in the right theater!

Christmas Tree Lane

Last semester for my Interiorscaping class we were assigned trees to decorate. There was just one other girl in my group and we assigned the Christmas Tree Lane tree which is Christmas tree decorating contest for all of campus and the Horticulture Society had won the last 3 years and so we were under a little bit of pressure! The theme was Christmas in "Who-burg". Luckily we were able to win and got the grand prize! It was a lot of fun.

It may be hard to tell in the picture but we made Grinch arms that are going around the tree which I think was a big hit!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with Kyle's family at his grandma Kunde's house. His parents and sisters were there as well as his Uncle Chris and his family and then for dinner his Uncle Lyden and Aunt Janice joined us. The dinner was very delicious, one thing I love about Kyle's family is that they sure know how to cook! This first picture here is of our dashboard, we had never gotten this low before on our gas tank and were worried we wouldn't make it to the gas station! but we did and we were very grateful!

Some of the things we did was watched movies, played games and talked. It was nice to relax and enjoy some family time.

Kelsey's Birthday

Last friday was Kelsey's (kyle's little sister) birthday so we took her out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then we went and saw the new movie 2012. We sure had a lot of fun and hope that she enjoyed her day!

Go Boise State!

Kyle's dad was nice enough to get us tickets to a Boise State game so last weekend we spend the weekend in Boise and had a lot of fun at the game and they won so that made it even better. Thanks again Greg!

It's always a special treat going to Kyle's parents house because Kyle's dad always seems to cook us up some delicious homemade meals and this time when we got there we found out their oven was broken and I got a little sad that that would somehow prevent some good cooking but there was no need to fear because Kyle's mom had what is called an apple box oven. It is box wrapped in tinfoil and you heat up charcoal and place them in there and there you have an oven! We cooked; biscuits, rolls and cookies in there and it worked great! I was very impressed. A great thing to add to food storage!

Utah Visit

One of Kyle's old mission companions had a reception last weekend so we took the opportunity to go down there so Kyle could go to the reception and so we could visit one of his other companions and my sisters!

While Kyle went to the reception with his friend Brian I got to spend some time with my sisters! We went to dinner, visited for a while then got some ice cream and watched a movie. I sure love them and am so grateful to have such wonderful sisters!

On our way back we stopped to visit a good friend of kyle and mine, Jenessa. It was really nice to see and visit with her!

Weekend Cabin Trip

Kyle and I both have weekends off from work so we are trying to go up to the cabin as much as we can and we here are a few pics from out last visit. The weather was perfect and enjoyed being able to spend some time together and relax.
Kyle always likes to get some fishing in!

We don't usually see much more than squirrels up there so we watched this one run from tree to tree for a while.

Another Camping Trip to Birch Creek

Back in August we went camping at Birch Creek with a two other couples from our ward. The weather was great and we played games, ate smores and got some fishing in and this time we not only saw a moose but practically ran into it! Kyle and I were walking around the creek looking for a good place to fish and we came around a patch of big shrubs and right across the creek not 20 feet away a moose stands up and just stares at us! We headed back behind the shrubs and were grateful it didn't come after us!

Weekend Trip to Boise

We took a weekend trip to Boise to visit with Kyle's family. We went to lunch on Friday...

On Saturday we went downtown to the Farmer's Market and saw a lot of cool handmade things and lots of good food to try.

On saturday afternoon while Kyle watched golf with Greg, and while Kelsey was at work, Leslie, Rachel and I went to the Boise Botanical Garden. It was beautiful!

We also went to the top of a mountain called Table Rock.

Grandma's 80th Birthday!

Our Grandma Kunde celebrated her 80th Birthday last week and a surprise birthday party was thrown for her and she was so excited! All of her kids where there and many of her grandchildren. We had a nice dinner, and then all of her kids shared some of their memories and then we watched a slide show of pictures from throughout her life. We sure love her and are very grateful for everything she does for us!

Our 1 Year Anniversary!

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary this weekend! We are so grateful for the last year we have been able to spend together and look forward to many many more! We decided to go back up to Island Park for the weekend and had a really nice time! On our way up there Kyle planned a hike to a place called Sheep Falls and on our way in we saw a sheep! The falls were beautiful and we also found this young tree growing out of a big rock and want to go back every year to see if its still growing.

Of course we had to make some time for fishing! Kyle caught 5 fish on his fly-rod which he was pretty excited about and I enjoyed watching him and reading a book.
Kyle surprised me by buying tickets to the Playmill theater in West Yellowstone to The Secret Garden! We both really enjoyed the play and I was so grateful for my surprise! Before the play we walked around the shops there and read some bear stories in the bookstore they had there. We also went to a pizza place for dinner which was perfect since we both love pizza. Friday night Kyle also surprised me with buying an ice cream maker so Friday night we made homemade ice cream and watched The Edge (a movie about bears...fitting for staying in a cabin :-) Kyle planned most of the surprises for this year but I wanted to do a little something so I got up early on our anniversary morning and placed a bunch of cut out hearts on the floor leading to his card.

Every time we go up to Island Park I am always keeping my eyes peeled for some cool animals and this time we saw a moose on our way out so I was pretty happy about that. You can't see it very well in the picture but the brown spec in the middle of the pic is the head!

Later Sunday night we headed down to Idaho Falls to Kyle's grandma's house to pick up his sister Rachel and they had made us a very delicious dinner and Kyle's grandma gave us a very sweet card and a fondue set so we are excited to try that out.

I am grateful to Kyle for making our 1st anniversary special and for a great first year together! He's the best husband I could ask for!

Birch Creek

Last Saturday we went to Birch Creek with another couple to try the fishing there, it was a really pretty area out in the middle of nowhere.

We saw a moose on the opposite side of the road that the creek was on.

We had to climb up and over this latter to get into the fishing area

We had to sit out one storm that passed through, there were a few others around so that made it a little more fun hearing thunder in the background as we enjoyed the afternoon.

Laura's Quick Visit

Laura came up last weekend to see her new niece and the rest of the family that is here of course :-) so we spent some time with Kevin and his family and then Laura and I spent Friday afternoon together. We went to the mall and looked at some clothes and looked at around Barnes and Noble. It was sure fun to see her!

Kyle's 24th Birthday

I started out Kyle's 24th Birthday with one of his favorite breakfasts: hash browns with bacon and eggs mixed together

Earlier that morning I hid 24 pieces of paper where each one had a reason of why we should celebrate his birthday. I tried to hide the paper with something that correlated with the reason. For example the first one I put in his card that said he always makes people laugh so he looked behind our frame that says LAUGH and found the next reason which said he was sweet so then he looked where the sugar was and so forth. He had a lot of fun trying to figure out where the pieces of paper were. Here are the 24th reasons to celebrate kyle:

1. The first reason to celebrate you is because you always can make people laugh!
2. The second reason to celebrate you is because you are sweet!
3. The third reason to celebrate you is because you are a great cook!

4th of July Weekend

For the 4th of July we spent most of the week in Island Park at Kyle's family's cabin. Kyle and his dad did a lot of fishing, we played a lot of games, went canoeing...

we also went four wheeling and in the middle picture below of Kyle and I, you cant really tell but we are pretty wet and muddy because we went through a bunch of puddles! We also saw signs for a garage sale so we decided to stop by and the guy gave Kyle this cover for one of his golf clubs.
On Friday Kyle and I went on a little hike. A few years back Kyle's parents saw a bear on this hike but the only wildlife we saw were some geese. We did see some bones by the river and a spot where there was lots of animal fur but no animals.

Then Saturday night we went down to Idaho Falls and had dinner with Kyle's Grandma and then went to see the firework show.

Weekend with the Family

On the same weekend we went camping we spent the rest of the weekend with my brothers and sisters, we were sad that Kevin and his family couldn't make it but the rest of us did enjoyed being able to be together. On Saturday after we got back from the Temple open house and ice cream, Kyle and I made everyone pizza.

It was sure fun to see our nephews and nieces, I got a couple pics of Laura spending time with them.

Our First Camping Trip Together

One of Kyle's old mission companions has become a real good friend to him and so we try to get together with him and his wife when we can and so last weekend we went camping with them somewhere around the Provo Canyon. It was so fun and so beautiful!!

We had to hike a little ways in to find a place to camp so we had to carry a lot of stuff!

Quick Trip to Utah

On May 30th Kyle had a missionary reunion in Provo so Saturday we headed down there and went to the park and I got to meet one of his Mission Presidents. Kyle enjoyed seeing a few old friends and then we spent the afternoon with two of his closer buddies then while he hung out with them Saturday night I went and spend some time with my sisters and we went to dinner and watched a movie together. Then on Sunday on our way home we stopped in Logan to see Sam & Lisa's new place and to surprise Sam on his Birthday and we also visited another friend of Kyle's that lived there in Logan.

Memorial Day Weekend

I didn't get too many pictures from this weekend but Friday, Saturday and Sunday we spent with my Kevin's family, Rosanne and Laura. On Saturday Laura came up to Rexburg to see Kyle and my place and she wanted to see the greenhouses I worked in and the picture above is in the Jungle Room, the coolest greenhouse we have. Then Saturday night Kyle brought over his family's four wheeler and took my nephews on a little ride in the back yard and my sisters drove it around too and enjoyed it as it was their first time riding one.
We had Monday afternoon to do whatever so we decided to go up to Kyle's family's cabin in Island Park for a night so we drove up there and Kyle did some fishing while I read a book and we also went on a walk along a reservoir and enjoyed the beautiful weather together.

Visit to Illinois!

During our 9 day break we decided to go to Illinois for a visit and even though it was a long drive we had a real nice visit! Laura was visiting at home at the same time so that was an extra bonus!

We went through a few things making sure we had anything we wanted from my parents house and we found a puzzle of our family that our aunt had given us so that was pretty fun to put together. Kyle and Laura enjoyed going through my parents books. In the bottom middle picture it looks like Laura had some inspiration from the book she was looking through. In the top picture Kyle is singing to me while Laura plays the piano.
Moline, IL is the head quarters of John Deere and so they have a nice place where you can go and see the combines and get inside them so we had a lot of fun checking our their equipment.

Kyle really wanted to go check out the John Deere Golf Course and so we went there and he really enjoyed that.

While we were there we also went down to Nauvoo which was real nice. We had a real nice time visiting with Laura and my parents and I also go to see a few old friends so thanks Kyle for driving me all the way out there!

Our Easter

I'm not sure what Bunnies and Eggs have to do with Easter but I guess fun family traditions come from it so that is a good thing. My mom was always really good at hiding our Easter Baskets and she still is! It took all three of us a long time and had to get hints to find our baskets!

The Big 21!

Kyle being the sweet husband that he is, couldn't resist getting me a few gifts for my birthday. The shirts were from Kyle's grandma and the shirt from my last post was from Kyle's parents. Kyle did a great job picking out things that I liked but the best gift he gave me was breakfast in bed! ( and he was sick but still got up to do that for me because he wanted my day to be great) We had a nice day together and went out to dinner, then my good friend Ashley came over to visit and then in the comfort of our own home watched the movie Hitch together. Thanks Kyle to making my 21st birthday great!
